Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir
When it comes to Oregon Pinot Noir, Domaine Drouhin is always near the top of my list. Founded by the famed Drouhin family of Burgundy, this estate helped put Willamette Valley on the global wine map when they transformed an old Christmas tree farm into their vineyard back in 1987.
This Pinot comes from the Dundee Hills, a subregion celebrated for producing wines with incredible depth, structure, and grace. It’s as classic as Oregon Pinot gets—refined, balanced, and beautifully expressive of terroir.
On a personal note, I’ve long admired winemaker Véronique Drouhin for her dedication to both the craft of winemaking and the broader sommelier community. Supporting Domaine Drouhin means supporting not only exceptional quality but also the spirit and legacy that helped shape Oregon’s Pinot Noir story.
Favorite Pairings: Pork Loin, Roasted Chicken, Grilled Salmon
