La Chiara Cortese, Gavi

$25.00

One of Dani’s favorite white wines of the summer that will just as well pair with dishes in the fall and winter months! Gavi is a small town in Piedmont, Northwest Italy, that only grows the Cortese grape. Once on the brink of extinction, this town is the sole reason the Cortese grape even exists today! (and we love supporting them for that!)

Cortese makes a medium-bodied, refreshing white wine that is reminiscent of lemon citrus and stone fruit on the palate, supplemented by an iconic almond “roundness”. We’d pour it for anyone that likes crisp wines like Sauvignon Blanc and are looking to branch out…especially when dinner calls for a white wine.

Pair this wine with fish and shellfish dishes, cheese boards or party appetizers. Speaking of parties, this one’s a crowd-pleaser! And for those of you studying the world of wine, this bottle is a MUST.
